Physics is the basic science upon which all
others are understood, and in this course you will study its fundamentals. The
course is broken into six units that focus on mechanics, energy, nuclear
physics and fields. It should be noted that physics is an academically intense,
mathematically oriented discipline. An understanding of physics can broaden
your understanding of the natural world drastically, but it requires a
dedication and commitment to learning. There will be many practice assignments,
problems, and assessments throughout the course and it is my expectation that
if you have elected to take this course, you will participate actively in all
of them!

Digital Media & Technology 10 is a Practical & Applied Arts elective that includes modules from three PAA courses related to digital technology: Communication Media 10, Photography 10 and Information Processing 10. This course serves as a prerequisite for the grade 11 electives in these subjects and also for Computer Science 20.

Computer Science 20 is an introductory course in computers and computer programming. We will start with some Core Concepts related to computers. Our programming work will begin with the design of some computer games using GameMaker. After some experience with programming concepts and design, the course introduces concepts of programming using Visual Basic. Finally students choose a Project that involves research or coding.
